ABOUT ME

In the beginning of the new year, I completed my contract as the Sports Anchor/Reporter at WICS/WRSP, the Sinclair ABC and FOX affiliates in Springfield, Ill. As the only one in the sports department in Springfield, I was tasked with creating all of the sports content for the station. I anchored three shows, five days a week, which included researching, shooting, editing, writing and producing.

During my time at WICS & WRSP, I was given many opportunities to connect to the Central Illinois community. I enterprise stories that were entertaining and relevant to the local audience. Each week I aired a feature story during the Sunday night sports block in a segment called ‘Sunday Sports Spotlight’. Stories range from features on local athletes or teams to viewers in the community with a unique connection to athletics. I reported on the University of Illinois athletics and Big Ten Conference and have covered the Fighting Illini men's basketball team's March Madness appearance, as well as the firing and hiring of a new head football coach.

As a sports reporter, I hope to travel around the country telling meaningful and entertaining newsworthy content to every viewer on all media platforms!
